Argument about the nature of the science and scientific explanation.

 The word science comes from the Lain "Scientia" meaning of knowledge. 


So science is study about knowledge. In biology the science is primarily deals with structure, function, growth, evolution and distribution of organisms. And also science is an organized way of studying things and finding answers to questions. In science knowledge gained through the use of questions and experiments about the physical living and the world.

There are many types of science. Some of them are biology, chemistry, physics and etc. Biology means study of living things, chemistry means study of chemicals and how they combined, physics means study of environment. 


An argument is an collection of statements organized in a way that highlights connections between ideas. The arguments are composed of three elements. They are claim. support and inference. Premises is statements or propositions in an argument that are intended to provide support or evidence. Conclusion is a statement or proposition for which the premises provide support. 

Today's world is mostly based on the science and the technology. Science is not a philosophy. It is widely regarded as the more secure of knowledge. Natural scientists are not philosophers. The importance of the nature of the science is it gives an edge over other knowledge systems.

Scientific explanation means that provides a description of how a process in nature occurs. It describes how something in nature works. Scientific explanation based on observations and data. Science is fundamentally about explaining phenomena. We use scientific explanation throughout in our life. For an example, " How the living beings begin in world".

Deduction and the induction is a part of scientific explanation.  Deduction means the formal logic. It orders ideas from the general assertion to specific reasons and support that culminate in a certain, inevitable conclusion. In a valid deductive argument, "IF" the premises are true, "THEN" the conclusion necessarily follows. For an example, If all organisms are made of cells, and humans are organisms, then humans are made of cells. Induction commonly known as " informal logic". For an example, every quiz has been easy. Therefore, the test will be easy.
