ETHICS AND HAPPINESS IN PERSONAL LIFE ACCORDING TO PHILOSOPHY.

 What is the meaning of ethics?



Ethics is a branch of philosophy. It is also called a moral philosophy. The word ethic is derived from Greek word of "ethos" that mean, "custom" or habit. Ethic is simply concerned with what is good or bad. Ethic is not concerned with sex.

There is no specific region in ethic. But ethic has a strong relationship to religions. Ethic is concerned with questions how people ought to act, how they get decisions, and how they do right things to get good life. Religions improve the morality of the humans. Ethics guide the persons to make good decisions and make a good life. 

Ethics cannot be separated according to the period, country and subject matters. Ethics is not primarily about sex,  not based on religion,  not relative to society in which you live, and not merely a matter of subjective taste or opinion.

In simple example, every religion said not to harm or kill the others or animals in the our environment. This shows ethics is not based on the religion.  I think ethic is a universal thing. Ethics make the man more grater and happy.

Morality is a part of ethics that concerned with what is right or good behavior. It refers to the set of standers that enable people to live cooperatively in groups.



What is happiness?

When we talk about the happiness in philosophy, firstly we must talk about Aristotle. Aristotle is a great philosopher in the past and he said "Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence". He introduced the idea of a " science of happiness" in the classical sense, in terms of the new field of the knowledge.

Simply, we can describe happiness is an emotional state characterized by feeling of joy, satisfaction, contentment ang fulfilments. Everyone experienced positive and negative emotion in their normal life. Happiness is a positive emotion.

False happiness means that you try to show to the world that you are happy but you are not really happy. Here we can inwardly sad and there is deception of ourselves.

The attraction of hedonism.

Hedonism means that the pleasure is most important to the man kind and it is a only good thing for an individual. Hedonism word is derived from the Greek word "hedone" that means pleasure and "hedys"  that is sweet or pleasant. Hedonism refers to a family of theories, all which pleasure play a major and central role of them. Hedonism has some sub branches. Including , psychological hedonism, ethical hedonism, axiological hedonism,  and aesthetic hedonism.

Epicurus is the first great hedonist. He argued that pleasure was the only thing worth pursuing. In my opinion,   mention here is just their self-indulgence. I feel like it is a temporally pleasure.  But I think fun is not something to be pursued but something to be achieved by doing good works.

Gender is socially constructed to determines the behaviour, activities, attributes and roles that a particular society considers appropriate for men and women. It affects the all part in our life.   Race and ethnicity are two concepts. In the world contain different race and ethnics. In race people share physical characteristics like skin color, facial features, and stature. In race it is about the more of a biological  category or a social category. But lot of people think in a race according to biological character.
